  • “The staff are wonderful”

My boyfriend and I are visiting Winnipeg as his father is ill and the Marlborough is close to the facility where he is located. Although the hotel is old and could APPEAR unclean, if you take a close look the housekeeping staff (who are an absolute delight I might add) do an excellent job considering what they're working with. You can't expect the owner or manager of a building this large and historic to just rip it apart and start over again!it's lovely aside from some of the other guests or visitors outside and around the lobby. However, the dining room is great, food was awesome, pool was a fun time for us and my daughter and the water slide is excellent, and again the staff make the stay!

  • “historic, comfortable, excellent service”

I recently visited Winnipeg for the first time and attended the Marlborough's centennial celebration. The Marlborough is a beautiful property with great historic significance to Winnipeg, and the owners, management, and staff are committed to treating her (and her visitors!) with great respect. During our 3-day stay, everyone we encountered was professional, friendly, and accommodating. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. One of the best parts of our stay was the complimentary breakfast (an actual menu rather than a buffet, and the hash browns are fantastic!), which is served in their beautiful historic cafe. The cafe service was fantastic and I enjoyed being surrounded by elegant custom woodwork, stained glass windows, and tiffany lamps. The hotel's downtown location is a convenient walk to nearby museums, shopping, and restaurants - even in November. Bottom line: great location, great value, and great service.

  • "Wonderful experience”

I loved the fact the hotel is 100 years old and still has original rooms like Churchill's and Joanna's Restaurant with the original large clock on the wall. Breakfast was included in our room rates and was very nice to be able to order off a menu. Our suites were clean, comfortable & secure with a key required to get on the 4th floor. We were treated very kindly by the owner, management & staff. The 100 year celebration Gala held in the Skyview Ballroom with a lovely view of Winnipeg was definitely an evening, my mother (105 years), my daughter, cousin & myself will not soon forget. Found it nicely located close to Portage Ave also The Forks was a short taxi ride away. We would definitely stay again when visiting Winnipeg.
